Samira asuu nyt Turussa. Hän tietää, että Turku on Suomen vanhin kaupunki ja entinen pääkaupunki. Kaupungissa asuu noin 210 000 ihmistä. Aamulla Samira menee bussilla keskustaan. Hän käyttää Föli-sovellusta ja katsoo, milloin bussi tulee pysäkille.

Samira now lives in Turku. She knows that Turku is Finland’s oldest city and a former capital. About 210,000 people live in the city. In the morning, Samira takes the bus to the centre. She uses the Föli app and checks when the bus comes to the stop.

Keskustassa Samira kävelee Aurajoen rannalla. Hän näkee Turun tuomiokirkon ja pysähtyy katsomaan jokea. Joen vieressä on kahviloita, ravintoloita ja vanhoja laivoja. Samira kysyy ohikulkijalta: “Anteeksi, missä on kauppatori?” Ohikulkija vastaa: “Se on lähellä. Kävele tätä katua suoraan.”

In the centre, Samira walks by the Aura River. She sees Turku Cathedral and stops to look at the river. By the river there are cafés, restaurants and old boats. Samira asks a passer-by: “Excuse me, where is the Market Square?” The passer-by replies: “It is nearby. Walk straight along this street.”

Iltapäivällä Samira jatkaa jokea pitkin kohti Turun linnaa. Hän oppii, että joen reitti tuomiokirkolta linnalle kertoo paljon kaupungin historiasta. Päivän lopussa Samira istuu jokilaivassa ja juo teetä. Hän ajattelee: “Turku on vanha kaupunki, mutta täällä on helppo löytää oma reitti.”

In the afternoon, Samira continues along the river towards Turku Castle. She learns that the river route from the cathedral to the castle tells a lot about the city’s history. At the end of the day, Samira sits on a riverboat and drinks tea. She thinks: “Turku is an old city, but it is easy to find your own route here.”
